a  new hotel near Bonn has opened. The Ibis Budget Koenigswinter is 20 km via the bridge and 12 km by ferry from the EGC venue and provides single rooms for 35 Euro. It is more recommend for guests with a car, because there is a direct motorway connection to Bonn and the daily way to the congress hall will last only 20 Minutes. Although a bus line is available and needs 54 Minutes and is free for the congress guest. The last train/bus connection in the night from Bonn will start at 23:04 at the Stadthalle Bad Godesberg. Check ist yourself by www.bahn.de(from Graefenhohn, Koenigswinter to Bonn-Bad Godesberg Stadthalle).

As I tried to book via internet there was booking for more than 6 days not possible.  But you can book by phone. The numbers are listed by clicking on the headset on the top of the web site.

There are still beds free which are only a few meters from the congress venue. I can recommend the “Insel Hotel” .  If you like living direct at the Rhine there are still double rooms in the “Dreesen” available for you. This a historic place (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rheinhotel_Dreesen).

If you book the “Insel" or the “Dressen" via the following link, you will get a free ticket for trains and buses for the Cologne/Bonn-Region valid for the time you stay.

Dear Go players,

the Youth Hostel Bonn has now decided to allow booking of rooms for Go players until April 16th.

There are mainly rooms with four beds still available in the Youth Hostel, that can be booked via the accommodation page on the www.egc2012.eu website! Youth Hostel is the ideal accommodation if you want to have Go players around during EGC 2012 day and night ;-)

Das Haus Annaberg liegt in sehr schöner Lage im Wald einen Kilometer vom Ortsteil Bonn Friesdorf entfernt. Zur Stadthalle Godesberg sind es vier Kilometer.

Rechts vom Erker sind die Einzelzimmer. Im Erker selbst ist ein großes 4-Bettzimmer. Links vom Erker sind Doppelzimmer und 3-Bettzimmer.

Wer die genaue Position des Zimmers im Gebäude wissen will, kann von mir einen Grundriss haben. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich schöne große Konferenzräume, die wir als Aufenthaltsräume nutzen können. Hinter dem Haus ist ein Spielplatz. Vor dem Haus ist viel Grünfläche.
