Sightseeing in Bonn and surroundings

Bonn and its surroundings offer tremendous opportunities for tourism and leisure activities, so that we can only provide you a small selection:

Culture

Bonn is the city of Beethoven, with Beethoven-Haus, Beethoven Hall, and Beethoven Monument.

The Museum Mile connects Bad Godesberg with the city centre of Bonn and offers a rich museum landscape with the Art and Exhibition Hall of Germany, Bonn Art Museum, “Haus der Geschichte” of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Natural Research Museum Koenig and the German Museum Bonn.

Cologne awaits the visitors with the famous Cologne cathedral, the historic city centre with its typical Kölsch pubs, and museums reaching from the Museum of East Asian Art to the Chocolate Museum.

Leisure & Excursions

Bad Godesberg is located at the edge of the Siebengebirge, Dragon’s Rock and Eifel are close and offer beautiful hiking, walking and climbing trips. Boat excursions on the rivers Rhine and Moselle, to Lorelei for example, can be combined with enjoying a good glas of local wine.

Dusseldorf invites you to explore its glamorous shopping boulevard “Kö” and to meet with Japanese friends. Leisure sport in Bonn ranges from cycling on the banks of the river Rhine via swimming in thermal and swimming pools to hiking and climbing.

Friends of Formula 1 can test the Michael Schumacher cart centre in Kerpen. For those who want to see more of Europe at the weekend ... even Paris is only four hours train drive away.
