The city of Bonn with its district Bad Godesberg offers a lot of interesting things to you. As two weeks full of Go in the head are very long there is a variety of sportive activities for the body to all Go players and their companions. You can find many places to go to for sports nearby the Congress Hall.
Thanks to the high school “Aloisiuskolleg” we have a sports hall for indoor sports like football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, hockey, gymnastics. Opening hours are daily 2 p.m. to 8 p.m..
The school will give us rackets and balls for hockey, but for table tennis and badminton you need to take your own equipment with you.
Next to the sports hall we can also use the sports fields of the “Aloisiuskolleg” for outdoor sports. Dressing rooms, toilets and showers are in the hall.
While the nearest climbing hall is about 20km away from the playing venue (http://www.bronxrock.de), a climbing tower is located at Rigal'sche Wiese directly beside the playing venue. While climbing requires staff availability, the climbing tower can be used for bouldering by the public. Please be sure to bring your own climbing equipment (especially climbing shoes).
Thanks to the local climbing club “Bonn Monkeys” you are invited to master the 10 meter high climbing tower on the Sunday, July 22nd, 3 p.m.

Further sporting activities at Rigal'sche Wiese directly beside the playing venue include inline skating and activities like throwing frisbee and balancing slack lines.
There are many swimming halls in Bonn, the Kurfürstenbad is nearest to the playing venue. There is also an attractive public lido “Panoramabad” next to the river Rhine. Here you find a 50 meter sports pool, a large fun pool and a diving platform with lots of meadows around. Next to the Congress Hall you will find the “Kurfürstenbad” with two Finish saunas. One is dry and has 90°C, the other is humid and has 85°C. Also to mention is the nice outdoor pool for refreshing oneself. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday with special slots for women (Tuesday, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning) and men (Wednesday, Friday afternoon). Prices are 12 Euro for adults and 8 Euro for children. You are supposed to bring flip-flops and two towels.
